Tangi Miller quickly found success playing the smart, spirited and stylish Elena Tyler on
The hit WB series Felicity.
Rapidly securing her place in the entertainment industry,
Tangi is poised to become one of Hollywood’s brightest
young stars.
After making her television debut as a series regular on Felicity, Tangi later received a 2002 NAACP Image Award nomination
for Best Actress in a Dramatic Series. Tangi has since launched a professional acting career with a lead role in the independent
feature Film The Other Brother, starring opposite Mekhi Phifer, as well in Too Legit: The MC Hammer Story and Phantom Force.
Tangi also starred in the Lionsgate feature film Leprechaun: Back 2 the Hood and has guest starred on Fastlane, The Twilight
Zone and Arliss. On going work includes recurring roles on The Shield and The District.
Born and raised in Miami, Florida, the eldest of six kids who were not allowed to watch Television as they were growing
up, Tangi began acting in stage productions while in high school. Having never planned on an acting career, Tangi chose to
major in the more practical field of marketing while attending Alabama State University. Realizing she spent all of her free
time acting in theater productions, Tangi decided after graduation to pursue her acting talent. Intense in her desire to study
the craft, Miller earned a Master of Fine Arts degree at the University of California, Irvine and studied at the Royal National
Theater in London as well as the Alabama Shakespeare Festival.
Along with her passion for acting, Miller has a passion for African/Caribbean dance. As A member of a Los Angeles based
African dance troupe, Tangi has performed in West Africa, Cameroon and Ghana. She also enjoys studying and experiencing foreign
cultures Through international travel.
